General

What platforms are your games on?

The Descender is being developed for Meta Quest (VR) and PC. House Edge is in early development with platforms to be announced. Follow us on Discord for the latest updates.

When does The Descender release?

We don't have an official release date yet. We'd rather ship it right than ship it fast. Join our Discord or check the blog for development updates.

Are your games appropriate for children?

No. Our games contain horror content including jump scares, dark environments, disturbing imagery, and intense audio. They are intended for mature audiences. Please review content ratings on the platform store page before purchasing.

Do your games collect personal data?

No. Our games do not collect, store, or transmit any personal user data. Platform services (Meta, Steam, etc.) may collect data independently under their own privacy policies. See our Privacy Policy for full details.

Troubleshooting

The game crashes on launch — what do I do?

First, make sure your device firmware and the game are both fully updated. If the issue persists:

Meta Quest: Restart your headset (hold power button → Restart). If the crash continues, uninstall and reinstall the game from your library.

PC: Verify game files through your launcher (Steam → Properties → Verify Integrity). Make sure your GPU drivers are up to date.

If none of that works, report the issue on our Discord with your device model and what happens when you try to launch.

I'm experiencing motion sickness in VR — any tips?

VR comfort varies from person to person. Here are some things that help:

• Start with short play sessions (15–20 minutes) and gradually increase.
• Use comfort mode / snap turning if available in the settings.
• Make sure your headset is fitted properly — a loose headset makes things worse.
• Play in a cool, well-ventilated room.
• Stop immediately if you feel unwell. There's no "pushing through" motion sickness.

Audio isn't working / sounds distorted

Meta Quest: Check that your headset volume is up and not muted. Go to Quick Settings → Sound to verify. If using Bluetooth headphones, note that some Bluetooth codecs introduce latency — wired headphones or the built-in speakers are recommended for the best experience.

PC: Make sure the correct audio output device is selected in your system settings. Close other applications that may be using the audio device exclusively.

How do I report a bug?

The best way is through our Discord server in the bug-reports channel. Include:

• What happened and what you expected to happen
• Your device / platform (e.g., Quest 3, Windows 11)
• Steps to reproduce the issue, if possible
• A screenshot or video clip if you can grab one

Purchases & Refunds

How do I get a refund?

All purchases are made through the platform store (Meta Horizon Store, Steam, etc.), not directly through us. Refunds are handled by the platform under their refund policies:

If you have trouble getting a refund through the platform, contact us and we'll do what we can to help.

I want my data deleted — how?

Our games don't collect personal data, so there's nothing to delete on our end. If you've contacted us via email or our contact form, you can request deletion of that correspondence by emailing hello@stonksinteractive.com with "Data Deletion Request" in the subject line. We'll confirm deletion within 30 days. Full details in our Privacy Policy.

Free Assets

Can I use your free assets in my commercial project?

Yes. Unless otherwise stated on the specific asset page, you can use our free assets in both personal and commercial projects. You cannot resell or redistribute the raw assets themselves. See our Terms of Service for full details.
