OVERDUE is a dark-comedy incremental game set in a bureaucratic purgatory. You play as a newly dead soul saddled with an absurd afterlife debt — and the only path to freedom is working as a caseworker for the Department of Posthumous Financial Resolution.

Process the paperwork of other dead souls to earn currency. Pay down your debt. Watch compound interest undo your progress. Hire clerks, automate the bureaucracy, and eventually distil the suffering of the deceased into something marginally useful.

The game begins with a stamp and a pile of Case Files. It ends with you having become the very system that trapped you.
